Workshop Do-it-yourself cuckoo clock

Description

Build a cuckoo clock yourself! You can make this dream come true at the German Clock Museum in Furtwangen. Treat yourself to the creative pleasure of building a working cuckoo clock in the heart of the home of Black Forest clocks - for yourself, with friends or the whole family. As the museum is currently being renovated, the workshops will take place in the StattMuseum (Friedrichstraße 3).

Everything you need for the workshop is already waiting for you: a complete kit with a carved clock plate and quartz clockwork, special tools and high-quality paints. The clock parts are of course made in Black Forest!

You will work step by step and at your own pace with the help of detailed video instructions. Please allow at least 2.5 hours for this.

For groups of 8 people or more, we recommend the workshop under the personal guidance of our supervisors - this makes the experience more intensive and the supervision more individual.

Age recommendation: From the age of 16, you can build your own clock - or from the age of 10 with an adult accompanying you.

Our tip: The German Clock Museum is closed until 2027 due to a general refurbishment. Don't worry, the StattMuseum is only 250 m away. Shopping facilities, the water playground on the Breg or the city park are just a few steps away - perfect for rounding off your visit.
