The Klausenhof is the last thatched Hotzenhaus in the Hotzenwald. In 1979, this architectural monument was saved in an unprecedented campaign and rebuilt in its current location in its original style.

The building, which dates back to 1424, looks today as if the last inhabitants had just left it. There is an audio guide: at ten stations in the museum area, you can listen to and read exciting texts about the history, creation and construction of the museum and the other buildings on your smartphone.
