Description

777 meters above sea level, in the middle of the Black Forest, lies Heinz Wagner, the highest sparkling wine producer in Germany. Heinz Wagner is the union of two traditional family names: the Palatinate winegrowing family Heinz and the resumption of this tradition by the youngest generation of the Wagner family. Since 2015, Maximilian Wagner has been leading the family winemaking tradition into the next generation and presenting high-quality vintage cuvées that have matured over the past few years with a great deal of love and craftsmanship.

During the guided tour of the manufactory, visitors experience at first hand how a highly decorated sparkling wine is created from pressed grapes; from the ageing of the wine to yeast preparation, sparkling, storage, shaking, disgorgement and the ready-for-sale bottle, visitors learn everything about traditional bottle fermentation, in French: Methode Traditionelle / Champenoise.

In around 1.5 hours, Maximilian Wagner, founder and owner of the manufactory, will guide you through the taste, history and production of high-quality vintage sparkling wines.
