The total weight of the bridge is 730 tons, the pylons weigh 46 tons, the height of the pylon is 16 meters, the walkway weighs 55 tons, the suspension cables weigh 15.4 tons, the wind cable measures 3 tons, the span of the bridge is 450 meters, the walkway width will be 1.20 m, the maximum load capacity is 1000 people and the diameter of the suspension cables is 76 mm.

Please note that it is not forbidden to take a dog with you, but the grating of the bridge makes it difficult for many dogs to cross.
We would also like to make it possible for wheelchair users / baby carriages to visit flexibly every day and not just on special days or at certain times. However, access for wheelchair users and baby carriages is only possible at the WEST bridgehead (at the visitor center / Sommerberg side) and only during the opening hours of the visitor center (daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. up to and including October). The staff on site allow wheelchair users / baby carriages to enter the bridge through a separate entrance and only exit on the same side. The number of wheelchair users / baby carriages is limited, which may result in short waiting times.
